Kate Middleton’s Inner Circle, The Friends By Her Side As She Recovers

British royal family news reveals that yesterday Kate Middleton, Princess Of Wales announced that she is undergoing cancer treatment which began in late February.

Her diagnosis came after an abdominal operation in January. In a moving speech she told the world about her medical situation: “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful.”

“However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”

It has been a trying time for the princess but she has many good friends to help and support her in the coming days. Here’s who to know in Kate’s close circle of friends.

Trini Foyle is one of Kate’s oldest friends, they attended Marlborough College together. They remained close through their college years, with both attending schools in Edinburgh. Kate went to St. Andrew’s and Foyle attended Edinburgh University.

Trini is Prince Louis’ godmother, and she and her husband Ted have a son, Alexander, who has playdates with Prince George.

Lucy Lanigan-O’Keeffe teaches at Thomas’s Battersea, where George and Charlotte attend. The women became friends as they discussed schoolwork and Lanigan-O’Keeffe is married to William’s close friend Thomas van Straubenzee.
