King Charles Faces Coronation Crisis Over Celebrity Snubs!

King Charles hoped for a coronation filled with A-list celebrities. But the problems he faces getting those celebs have sparked a crisis. And with snubs rather than acceptances coming from the King’s celebrity guest wish list, planners have become seriously concerned.

Find out about King Charles’ coronation crisis. And learn which A-list celebs already rejected a chance to perform at His Majesty’s concert. Get all the details below.

A-List Celebrities Snub King Charles!

King Charles envisioned a coronation featuring an event with A-list celebrities. But thus far, the top-tier musicians who received invitations have declined the opportunity.

And those snubs caused King Charles and his coronation celebration planners to worry. For instance, Elton John, the Spice Girls, and Harry Styles declined the opportunity to perform at the Windsor Castle concert on May 6, according to the Express.

Because the schedule calls for that concert to occur after the coronation ceremony at Westminister Abbey earlier that same day, event organizers wanted a fabulous finish to the day. But the list of stars refusing to perform risks seems longer than those left to invite. For example, other celebs who snubbed their invitations include Ed Sheeran, Adele, and Robbie Williams.

And the snub from Williams hit especially hard. Organizers reportedly hoped for a Take That reunion at the concert. However, some celebrities have agreed to appear. For example, Take That’s Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald will join Kylie and Dannii Minogue, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Lionel Richie.

Elton John Topped King Charles’ Wish List

However, King Charles wanted Elton John above all. But Elton could not change his schedule in time to appear at the coronation. And so the event officials chose The X Factor runner-up Olly Murs instead. But royal insiders admit that they face more challenges in figuring out an impressive concert.

As a result, coronation organizers have begun “working against the clock to pull together an exciting line-up,” shared one royal source. But they “hit a series of challenges. Elton John was top of Charles’ list but due to his European tour, which sees him performing in Germany the Friday before,” he couldn’t make it. And Elton reportedly feels that he can’t “make the dash to the UK work,” added the insider.

However, other A-list celebs have declined as well. For instance, some thought Harry Styles would appear. But Styles faces a touring schedule that makes his appearance challenging. And his main band members cannot fill in the gaps as well.

As a result, King Charles’ coronation seems lacking compared to Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Party, claimed one insider. For instance, that event at the palace last June included Duran Duran, Diana Ross, and Alicia Keys. Over the next two weeks, invitations for 2,000 guests will arrive. But at this point, the guest list equals only 25 percent of those who attended Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation in 1953.
