That’s because the King of England, along with his wife, Queen Camilla, got to finally meet his two American grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, with both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

According to the Daily Mail, the King and Queen of England hosted the Sussex family at their Gloucestershire home this week.

It was reported earlier that Meghan and the children would be staying behind in California because their request for police protection was denied.

However, it looks like she changed her mind and brought Archie and Lilibet along for their first family trip to the UK in four years.

While no one knows exactly what happened behind closed doors, one thing is for certain: King Charles definitely got his way. He’s been begging for a meeting with his grandchildren for many long years now and it finally happened.

Even though it looked like the reunion wasn’t going to happen for a hot second, some royalists on both sides of the pond are hoping that this might be the start of something new between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family.

After all, everyone knows that they have been feuding for way too long.

What’s Next For Harry And Meghan?

But then again, no one knows how brief this meeting was and just how comfortable Meghan might have felt being in the same room as King Charles and Queen Camilla. After all, a lot of things did go down between them these last several years.

Even with all of that said, it looks like progress has been made. Now, whether or not other members of the royal family are willing to sit down and talk things out with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle remains to be seen, too.

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.
