King Charles Got Snubbed By Taylor Swift

If there’s one person that you don’t want to get snubbed by, it’s certainly the current princess of pop. Yet, that’s exactly what happened to the current King of England as there are new reports that say Taylor Swift said thank you, but not thank you to his offer for her to perform at his coronation concert back in May.

Instead of Taylor, King Charles got Katy Perry and Lionel Richie to do the honors. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Royal Family News: King Charles Got Snubbed By Taylor Swift

According to Page Six, Taylor Swift turned down an offer to perform at King Charles III’s coronation. At least that’s what Omid Scobie says in his new book about the royal family, Endgame.

However, it has been noted that Taylor also played in Nashville on the same day as the coronation, which was May 6, as part of her Eras tour.

However, Taylor Swift wasn’t the only person to have turned down King Charles on his very special day.

Previously, it was reported that a host of British chart toppers like Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran and Adele politely declined their invites to perform at the coronation.

Royal Family News: Taylor Swift Had A Scheduling Conflict

Many royal fans and critics alike have commented on the matter with, “Numerous artists that could have been invited also had prior commitments that day – one of the challenges of having months to plan a coronation when tours are planned years in advance,” along with, “She also snubbed Meghan’s invitation to participate in one of her Podcasts. My guess is that is why this is in the book. We can only guess if (1) she was asked and (2) the reason she did not perform.”

Another critic wrote, “Yeah right like Charles even know what a Taylor Swift is.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, and nor has Taylor Swift. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is more juicy royal drama to come.
