King Charles Is Heartbroken Over His Lack Of Relationship With Archie And Lilibet

This has got to be tough for any grandfather, let alone a royal grandfather like the King of England. There’s a new report that suggests King Charles feels it’s bittersweet that he doesn’t get to see his two Sussex grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet.

Needless to say, there are two people who seem to be in the way of making that happen and they are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

King Charles – Is Heartbroken Over His Lack Of Relationship With Archie And Lilibet

According to The Sun, King Charles is just unhappy that he doesn’t get to see Archie and Lilibet grow up.

That’s not just because they live in California, but also because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are refusing to allow their kids to visit their grandfather in the UK.

It’s been suggested that Meghan simply doesn’t feel like it’s safe enough to bring her kids back to London.

One source close to the situation even put it this way, “It’s a bittersweet day for the King when he marks the anniversary of his Coronation as it’s also Archie’s birthday.

I’m sure it breaks Charles’s heart that his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet are growing up on the West Coast with American accents and yet he hardly knows them. Harry and Meghan may arrange occasional zoom calls but it’s not the same as seeing them in person.”

What’s Next For King Charles?

And while King Charles is a wonderful grandfather to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, he wants that same relationship with Archie and Lilibet, too.

The insider explained, “I’m sure he’d love to have the same relationship with his other two. It’s a very difficult situation. Charles probably compensates for not seeing them by showering love on George, Charlotte and Louis, but obviously it would be better for all concerned if the rifts were healed and some kind of normal family relations resumed.”
