King Charles Needs Meghan Markle’s OK For Archie’s Birthday Present

British royal family news reveals that today is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son Archie’s fifth birthday. Understandably, his grandfather King Charles is looking forward to wishing the lad a happy day even though his parents have limited his access to the child. According to royal expert Tom Quinn, Charles  has sent a birthday card and small present to Archie.

He told the Mirror “There has even been talk that he will send one of his own watercolor paintings to Archie as a present as Meghan loves homemade gifts and dislikes extravagant expensive presents.”

But due to a family rift, Charles apparently is nervous about offending the Markles and “does not want to step on Harry and Meghan’s toes with his gesture for Archie.”

Quinn claims that “King Charles and his team are desperately worried that whatever the king sends to his grandson may be misinterpreted by Harry and Meghan.”

According to the New York Post an inside source spilled that Harry has “repeatedly” told his father not to go overboard in the gifting department.

Quinn also stated that Charles prefers to talk to Archie on his birthday via a phone call rather than a video call. And the reason may surprise you.

Quinn said that with a phone call Charles can talk to Harry and Archie “without the need to talk to Meghan, a prospect that fills him with dread.”

Royal Family News – Archie’s Birthday Party

People reports that Harry and Meghan will have a private party for Archie at home. On Wednesday Harry will be in the UK for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games but Meghan will not be with him. After the event the couple are due to tour Nigeria.

Harry attended his father’s coronation last May 2023 but Meghan failed to accompany him. At the time it was reported that Harry spent fewer than 28 hours in the UK, stayed in a hotel, and did not meet privately with any family member.

After the coronation Harry ran to a waiting plane without changing out of his suit, clutching a clothes hanger. Stay classy Harry.
