King Charles Refuses To Be Bullied

Let’s just say things are going to be done his way or they are going to end up on the highway. Clearly, we are talking about King Charles as there’s new speculation suggesting that he’s refusing to be bullied and by his own family members, too.

That’s because the King of England had made it clear in a statement that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are to be treated as private citizens now that they are back in the UK and not as full-time working members of the royal family.

And because of it, Harry and Meghan are not going to get the same kind of security detail that other members of the monarchy get, which apparently is what they’ve been asking for behind closed doors this entire time.

Just to recall, King Charles shared a statement with the media that clarified Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s roles in the royal family now that they are living in the UK again and clearly stated that they are private citizens and nothing more.

The King said, “The charitable work of the Duke and Duchess is a personal matter for them both and undertaken in their private capacity. In short, their position is akin to private citizens with commercial and charitable interests.”

What’s Next For The King of England?

Then again, according to USA Today, the King of England has opened up his home at Buckingham Palace for his son, his daughter-in-law, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, as they transition to their new life back in the UK.

It’s quite the offer and definitely more than an extended olive branch, as at this point it’s safe to say the King Charles is definitely open to bringing back the Duke and Duchess of Sussex into the royal fold again.

But King Charles is making it clear that he’s not going to tolerate them having one foot in the palace and one foot out. They are free to live anywhere in the UK, but they are also not going to be treated as bona fide members of the royal family, either.

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter just yet.
