The outlet claims that despite the palace’s refusal to give details on the king’s condition, it “is known to be an open secret among royal staffers” and they “believe Charles’ cancer is worse than they’re making it out to be.”

On February 5 the palace confirmed that cancer had been discovered as a result of a January surgery for a benign enlarged prostate.

The palace statement read: “His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.”

Charles became regent upon the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022 and was coronated in May 2023.

Charles has made it a point to appear in public a few times, and he has seemed as upbeat and fit as possible, given the situation.

According to the source “Charles is keeping up with some appearances, not only to squash the wild conspiracy theories and false reports of his death, but to ensure people that he’s still able to perform his duties as king.”

For example, the palace had to deny reports that the monarch died on Monday, March 18: “We are happy to confirm that The King is continuing with official private business.”
