Well, this is awkward. Legendary Liza Minelli once said, “I was lucky enough to count Princess Di as a friend,” but now wants to make it clear that she has not, never, not once, met Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle. Oh-kay.

Her extraordinary assertion comes after the UK paper Sun published an article stating that Harry had begun a friendship with Liza Minnelli. The iconic actress quickly let the world know that she knows nothing of Harry.

Her post read, “While I wish them well, I have never met Prince Harry and Meghan. Any statement to the contrary is a complete fabrication.”

Liza Minelli Cherished Meeting The Late Princess Diana

The disputed article alleged that Liza herself reached out to Harry because she had been a friend of his mother, Princess Diana.
