Yellowstone Star Shares Journey to Becoming a Real-Life Cowboy

Yellowstone Star Shares Journey to Becoming a Real-Life Cowboy‘Yellowstone’ as we know it may have ended, but that doesn’t mean that we’re leaving the world, or our favorites, behind, because shortly after the original aired its finale episode, a spinoff was announced. And this spinoff is not like the others, since we don’t get to begin the journey with brand new characters.

Instead Cole Hauser – who played the fan-favorite character Rip Wheeler – will be returning to helm the new series alongside Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton.

Cole Hauser Disbands Rumors About the New Spinoff’s Title

Taylor Sheridan knew why he chose the character Rip to continue the ‘Yellowstone’ story. Ever since his first appearance, the character had managed to endear himself to fans, not least because of his dedication to his job as the Dutton’s enforcer.

For those who aren’t very familiar with Hauser’s Rip, the character’s story more or less begins after he killed his abusive stepfather to protect his mother and was taken in by John Dutton (Kevin Costner). The rest, as they say, is history.

Well, not exactly history, because we will be learning more of his story via the upcoming spinoff.

In a chat with Fox News Digital, the star decided to first discredit the enduring rumors surrounding the show’s title, saying, “Well, first of all, it’s not ‘Dutton Ranch.’ That’s not the name of it.” That aside, he promised fans that they can “expect the same that [they’ve] been doing for the last seven years. Kelly (Reilly) and I going and working our a** off trying to create something special.”

How ‘Yellowstone’ Helped Cole Hauser Explore His Inner Cowboy

‘Yellowstone’ may have ended, but Hauser is still in touch with his inner cowboy as ever, and he has continued to stay true to the cowboy ways by honing his passion for horseback riding.

“Taylor [Sheridan] has been great throughout the five years of putting me with some of the best in the business when it comes to continuing to grow and be better not only [in] my job as a cowboy, but also in the world of being a great horseman. So I’m blessed and lucky to have these people around me. And I’ll continue to do it,” he told Fox News Digital.

This new passion led him to write, direct and stat in Professional Bull Rider’s latest short film called, ‘Be Cowboy.’
