Meghan Markle Addresses Memoir Rumors In First Podcast Interview

Meghan Markle’s publishing days are by no means behind her. Yes, there’s a lot that the former American actress is working on at the moment.

For example, there’s her Netflix cooking show, her podcast with Lemonada Media, building her Instagram account, her lifestyle brand As Ever, and her blossoming rise as a fashion influencer. But she believes she’s still got time enough to squeeze in a book. Is this a sign that the Royal Family should be on alert once more?

Meghan Markle Shares the Kind of Book She Wants To Write

Meghan Markle is definitely looking forward to penning another book, though it might be too early for a memoir.

The Duchess is not done with her media tour to promote her various ventures. She stopped by the Drew Barrymore Show at the beginning of this tour, and last week she stepped on the stage of Time100 and talked about her brand As Ever, balancing her career with motherhood, and flower sprinkles. This week, she appeared on ‘The Jamie Kern Lima Show’ for her first ever podcast interview.

The mother-of-two went makeup-free for the appearance and surprisingly revealed that she would “yes, maybe, for sure” write another book.

If she does indeed write another book, it won’t be her first rodeo, since she’s already published a children’s book in 2021 and written a foreword for a cookbook in 2018.

However, what might the topic of the new book be about? I’m sure fans would love to know. “I love, right now, working on everything in this space of hospitality and home and entertaining and food and those sort of tips,” she told host Kern Lima, “and something like that, I think, would be really fun.”

She then addressed the rumors that have been swirling since Harry’s ‘Spare’ hit shelves and became an instant bestseller, saying, “And then, you know, I think people are often curious if I’m going to write a memoir, but I’ve got a lot more life to live before I’m there.”

What A Royal Expert Has Said About Meghan Markle’s Memoir Plans

While Meghan insists that a memoir will take a few more years for her to even begin to write, royal author Tom Bower is convinced it’s already going on.

“My information is that she is writing her memoirs and it will be a huge money-spinner,” he told Dan Wootton on his show Dan Wootton Tonight in 2023.

The supposed tell-all will focus on her brief time within the Royal Family, and since she’s had very little to say in the way of good things regarding her royal in-laws, one can guess it won’t be a jolly subject if she does indeed decide to travel down that road.
