Royal Wars Began Before Meghan Markle Married Prince Harry

Meghan Markle’s and Prince Harry’s now infamous Netflix documentary series fueled the feud between the Duchess and Duke of Sussex and the royal family. However, insiders now point to the time period when Harry first met Meghan as beginning the war. And Camilla Parker Bowles (now Queen Camilla) and Meghan Markle (now the Duchess of Sussex) began to battle prior to Meg’s wedding, the sources told Radar.

Camilla reportedly claimed that “Meghan has so many strikes against her, she’s unfit to become a royal.” And sources say that Charles’ wife “declared war on Harry’s fiancée.” As the feud flared prior to Meghan and Harry tying the knot in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May 2018, Camilla reportedly found numerous reasons to throw shade at Harry’s future wife.

For instance, Camilla complained that Markle’s ranking as a “divorcée and commoner” meant that the marriage should not take place. And she also reportedly pushed Charles to talk to Harry about the problems with Meghan. Saying she personally would “never allow this union to go forward,” Camilla became “the “force behind” Charles confronting his son, say insiders.

Camilla Plays Role In ‘Shocking’ Royal Showdown, Harry ‘Lost It’!

Because Charles listened to Camilla, the now King went for a “shocking showdown,” shared one insider. “And Harry lost it.” As a result of Camilla going against Meghan, Harry went on the defense. And he made demands about fully accepting Meghan as his wife.

However, Harry then proved his intentions by proposing to Meghan with a fabulous engagement ring. And it included two diamonds from his mother Princess Diana’s jewelry collection. Meghan gushed about the meaning of that ring in subsequent interviews.

For instance, in an interview with the BBC, Markle shared how she viewed her ring. And she explained, “Obviously not being able to meet his mom, it’s so important to me to know that she’s a part of this with us.” But Harry went even further. And he asserted that Princess Diana would have adored Meghan.

Meghan Markle – Gushing Over Princess Diana Riles Camilla

“I think she would be over the moon, jumping up and down, you know so excited for me,” said Prince Harry of his late mother. “But then, as I said, [my mother] would have probably been best friends with Meghan.” However, those references to Diana angered Camilla, say insiders. 

And Camilla “went berserk at the references to Diana,” shared one source. However, after Meghan and Harry tied the knot, the entire royal family gradually became involved in the rift. And the Netflix series has fueled that feud. For instance, one source claimed that the documentary provided “the last straw” for King Charles. 

And the source shared, “Charles understands Harry feels he could have been a better father.” However, Charles feels angry that Harry has attacked the King and the royal family. “But at the same time, he doesn’t think he and the rest of the family deserve to be attacked and shamed like this,” summed up the insider.
