As the world patiently awaits the birth of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first child, new bits and pieces of information about the royal couple’s baby preparation continue to hit the headlines.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly preparing their new home at the Frogmore Cottage that sits on a 35-acre property that is located 30 miles west of London. As they prepare their home, the couple is also decorating the nursery room in preparation for the arrival of the newest addition to their family.
Meanwhile, it also came to light that Meghan and Prince Harry are not planning, at least not yet, to hire a nanny for their first born, unlike the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, and Prince William. Kate and Prince William have hired professionals to take care of their children. Their current nanny is childcare expert Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo. She is not only experienced in looking after kids but also trained in self-defense, avoiding the cameras, and anti-terrorism.

According to the royal sources of Vanity Fair reporter Katie Nicholl, “They do not plan to hire a nanny or nurse initially, and will instead rely on the help of Meghan’s mother.” Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, will be staying with them once they move to the Frogmore Cottage. Whether they hire a nanny or not, it is apparent that these two are excited and ready to become parents.
As expected, the royal couple will go high tech and eco-friendly on their baby’s nursery so as to keep a close eye on their newborn. Meghan and Prince Harry reportedly plan to use technology to their advantage, especially when it comes to parenting.
They plan to install devices that will allow them to monitor their child in the nursery room using their smartphones. These include the installation of cameras, stereo system, and security windows. In terms of being environmentally friendly, the nursery will have a “vegan paint infused with eucalyptus” and will use an eco-friendly boiler.
