Prince Harry and Meghan Markle assumed that portraying their marriage as perfect would win over the public. However, social media reveals that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s attempts at displaying an ideal relationship have backfired. 

And instead, the public has become even more determined to find the flaws in Meghan’s and Harry’s marriage. Keep reading to learn why many think that Markle possesses all the power with what has become known as the “Markle claw!”

Meghan And Harry Can Learn From Victoria And David Beckham

Victoria Beckham and David Beckham have taken over the celebrity marriage spotlight recently. And the interest in their relationship stems from the Netflix biopic Beckham.

However, what fascinates viewers stems from the conflict in their relationship rather than attempts at perfection like Meghan and Harry, pointed out Newsweek.

For instance, viewers loved seeing David telling Victoria to “be honest” about her father taking her to school in a Rolls-Royce after she had claimed she grew up in a working class family. And the biopic Beckham has become much more successful than the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix biopic, Harry & Meghan.

For example, reviewers rated the Beckham documentary 93 percent. And the biopic Harry & Meghan, in contrast,  received 46 percent. But audiences rated the Beckham biopic a 97 percent on average, with Harry & Meghan at 19 percent.

Social Media Obsessed With Problems In Harry’s And Meghan’s Marriage

And while viewers enjoyed the Beckham’s honesty about their relationship, social media has become obsessed with finding problems in Harry’s and Meghan’s marriage.

For instance, rumors included a secret $80 million divorce. And the Duchess and Duke of Sussex tried to counter that with their canoodling at at the Invictus Games.

But social media still claims that Harry’s and Meghan’s marriage seems troubled. For instance, many believe that the Duchess of Sussex controls her husband. And they believe that she pushes herself into the spotlight, holding him back with what has become known as “the Markle claw.”

However, Meghan and Harry keep trying to ignore social media commentary. And instead, they focus on aiming for an ideal image. But Christopher Bouzy, founder of data analysis firm Bot Sentinel, warned that the Duchess and Duke of Sussex should pay attention.

And Bouzy opined that Meghan and Harry “definitely should be concerned about this content that’s been produced and put on TikTok. A lot of this stuff does get millions of views.”

As for whether the Duchess and Duke of Sussex will want to consider a follow-up Netflix documentary, they might ask David and Victoria Beckham for advice. But thus far, Meghan and Harry persist in keeping secrets. For example, Meghan and Harry never named which royal family member expressed concerns about the color of their unborn child’s skin.
