What does Prince Philip think of freedom-loving, money-seeking Meghan Markle? According to sources Philip, the epitome of loyalty, is, “very, very disappointed,” by her blithe conduct and the role she played in Megxit.
Royal watcher Ingrid Seward told Sky News that Philip can’t understand her unwillingness to, “support the monarchy,” and her husband (and his grandson) Prince Harry.
“I think he’s very, very disappointed,” she said, “because I think he feels he gave up his naval career in order to stand by Queen Elizabeth and help the monarchy.” It’s hard not to compare an illustrious career in the Navy versus the job Meghan had as a cable actress.
Meghan Refused To Comply With Royal Standards And Prince Philip Doesn’t Understand It
Way back when, Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh willingly forfeited his naval career to support his wife Queen Elizabeth when she ascended the throne in 1952. In turn, Seward said that Philip was irritated that Meghan chose not to do the same for Harry.
“As he used to say to Diana,” Seward said, “this is not a popularity contest, this is all of us working together. He just cannot understand why she couldn’t support Harry and help him rather than wanting to have her voice.”
To be fair, everyone is entitled to have their own voice and to use it. In Meghan’s case, the sticking point is whether or not she even tried to find a compromise with The Firm, plus how she is trying now to use her private voice while identifying herself as a public royal. This is not allowed under the rules she agreed to under the terms of Megxit, her exit agreement from royal life.
The rules of Megxit were hammered out without Philip’s participation as he chose not to be a part of the summit talks.

Prince Philip Was Not A Part Of The Sandringham Summit Talks In January
Seward adds that “when they had the Sandringham Summit, Prince Philip was seen leaving the house very swiftly before they all arrived,” adding, “Of course, it irritates him hugely.”
Seward previously wrote in the Mail on Sunday about the 99-year old Prince Philip’s epic sense of duty to the crown, saying that it “grieves” him that some younger members of the Royal Family, “do not appear to share his values.”
To this end Philip, “has struggled greatly, for example, with what he sees as his grandson Harry’s dereliction of duty, giving up his homeland and everything he cared about for a life of a self-centered celebrity in North America. He has found it hard to understand exactly what it was that made his grandson’s life so unbearable. As far as Philip was concerned, Harry and Meghan had everything going for them: a beautiful home, a healthy son, and a unique opportunity to make a global impact with their charity work.”
When put that way, it is rather hard to see why Meghan and Harry were so bitter and angry about living in the palace, with their expenses paid, and being waited on hand and foot, doesn’t it?

I think she already had her voice, it was just a matter of finding the appropriate fool to give it center stage. I have no problem with Megan using her voice on her own merits but she has encouraged her husband look the price of fools. Does she even realize she has helped him ruin his credibility and reputation?
