Meghan Markle “Hurt” Because Harry Was Stripped Of Honorary Military Appointments

Apparently, going back and visiting old wounds is a thing for Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, the co-authors of “Finding Freedom,” which is a tell-all gushy, sugary sweet “biography” on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. According to this “explosive” tome, Meghan Markle was utterly wounded on behalf of her prince in former military duds when he was unceremoniously stripped of his honorary military appointments.

Now, who knows whether Meghan Markle was truly super duper upset over Harry losing those honorary military appointments, or if she was just showing new “wifely support” for her man. One would think that if Prince Harry had somehow been given a retroactive, dishonorable discharge from the British military, this would have been something worth crying foul over. But, “honorary military appointments,” which Prince Harry did absolutely nothing to deserve? Come on ….

Yet Meghan felt it was “so unnecessary” that Harry should lose them. Of course, no one says anything about the fact that many feel it’s “so unnecessary” that Harry should have been given them in the first place.

Which Honorary Military Titles Did Prince Harry Lose?

Not that most care, but just a few titles that Prince Harry lost when he chose to step down from his position as a senior member of the British Royal Family including, “Captain General Royal Marines, Honorary Air Commandant, RAF Honington, and Commodore-in-Chief, Small Ships and Diving, Royal Naval Command.”

Sheesh, shouldn’t Meghan have been happy (Harry too) that no one can take away his titles and rank that he actually earned? Aren’t the titles Harry worked for a heck of a lot more important and worthwhile than a bunch of unearned, lofty-sounding words that don’t actually mean squat?

For crying out loud, Prince Harry actually did do something of note. The Duke of Sussex served his country in Britain’s armed forces for ten years where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander of the Royal Navy, Major of the British Army, and Squadron Leader of the Royal Air Force.

Should That Be What Prince Harry And Meghan Are Proud Of?

Tabloids have gone on ad nauseum about how hurt both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were following the decision to strip the duke of his honorary titles, and somehow connected it all to his work to help veterans through charity organizations such as The Invictus Games Foundation.

However, one has to wonder what the two have to do with each other, especially since Prince Harry ditched major plans to help the Invictus Games Foundation after he signed that multi-million deal with “Cuties” distributing Netflix.

Finding Freedom Paints A Sadder But Rosier Picture Of Prince Harry

Of course, above is the negative view of Prince Harry and Meghan’s apparent woe. According to Royal Cheerleader, Omid Scobie … the wounds for Prince Harry and even Megan, were quite real.

As Mr. Scobie and co-author Carolyn Durand write in Finding Freedom, “Harry’s lifelong commitment to the military was why the Mountbatten Festival of Music three days later was a particularly difficult moment; he was set to wear his Captain-General of the Royal Marines uniform for the very last time. During a conversation backstage, on arrival, Harry told Major General Matthew Holmes; ‘I’m devastated that I am having to step down.’”
