Meghan Markle Makes An Ethical Fashion Statement With Her Accessories

When Meghan Markle steps out in a new style or a certain designer, it’s without a doubt that everyone stops in their tracks to pay attention. After all, she has great style! New reports indicate that the Duchess of Cambridge is now making quite a fashion statement by only wearing ethical jewelry. Here’s what you need to know.

According to reports, Meghan is choosing jewelry with a message in a way that no royal has done before her. Many eagle-eyed fashionistas have noticed that the former Hollywood star has worn accessories from three different designers in the last several weeks. But here’s what they have in common: all of the jewelry makers share values of sustainability and giving back.

For example, Meghan wore Bar Jewelry, a London-based label that uses recycled silver and avoids chemicals in the manufacturing process. She wore a chic gold-played Wide Ripple Bracelet during a recent royal engagement. The stunning piece retails for about $305.

“It’s amazing that high-profile people like Meghan are promoting brands like mine,” the line’s designer, Sophie McKay, tells People Magazine in an interview. “It’s so great that the royal family supports us.”

Another one of Meghan’s favorite ethical designers is Pippa Small. The Duchess re-wore a pair of gold earrings during one of her public appearances earlier this month. Meghan also wore a pair of $60 Nosheen Stud Earrings made by the artisans of the Turquoise Mountain Foundation, an Afghanistan-based charity that was actually set up by Prince Harry’s father, Princes Charles.
