Meghan Markle and Prince Harry want to take another bite out of the Big Apple. But the Duchess and Duke of Sussex hope that their upcoming visit to New York City will go better than the one where their claims of a paparazzi car chase sparked ridicule rather than sympathy.
However, royal family followers have already started mocking Meghan in particular for her and Harry’s reason for returning to NYC. Keep reading to find out why.
Meghan Markle – Preps For New York City Return
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will return to New York City on Tuesday, October 10. And their trip comes five months after the couple experienced what they claimed represented a “near catastrophic” car chase.
But this time, the Duke of Sussex, 39, and the Duchess of Sussex, 42, plan to visit NYC for World Mental Health Day, reported Us.
And Meghan and Harry will use their Archewell Foundation to host a summit for parents called Mental Wellness in a Digital Age. The summit will turn the spotlight on parents who suffered losses linked to how their children used social media. “The families have been engaged with The Archewell Foundation for the past year, bolstering community and driving towards solutions,” said a spokesperson for the Duchess and Duke of Sussex.
And the rep shared that Meghan and Harry hope to use the summit “to share personal experiences, data and research to ensure the same does not happen to other families.” But it also marks the couple’s first trip to New York City since they claimed “a ring of highly aggressive” paparazzi chased them for more than two hours.
Meghan Markle Mocked For Mental Health Summit
However, social media lit up with slams and shade for Meghan in particular as well as Harry. And several commentators questioned why the Duchess and Duke of Sussex assumed they knew enough about mental health to become experts.
But one snarky critic wrote, “Neither Tweedledumb nor Tweedledumber are qualified to lead a discussion on mental health. All they have to offer is their speechified word salads, detailing their own mental health issues, all, of course, stemming from their abuse by the royal family.” And the commentator suggested that Meghan and Harry possess “nothing of substance to contribute to the discussion.”
But some expressed concern that some troubled parents would help Meghan boost her fame through the event. For instance, one wrote, “It’s still abominable how many people support them. Remember the veterans, all kissy and hugging them, especially her. Now we’re going to have parents who lost children, also hugging her like she’s mother Theresa.”
And another predicted, “Meghan will do something inappropriate. Why? Because everything she does requires her to be the center of attention. At minimum she will just talk about herself the whole time.” Others agreed, with one sharing that Harry will also “chip in to drag” the royal family “through mud again.”

Well it is said that any attention is good attention. As for Meagain…and her pet Harry….she will seek out any place where cameras are….and show that fake smile to pretend that she has any interest in anything but her own fame!!?? She and H are making a mockery of the very real help that is needed for those suffering from mental issues. Gee, I hope the Paparazzi don’t chase them again!!!!
I hope know one shows up I can’t even stand their voices let alone give advice on mental health. They both need therapy
I’ll be glad when these two are never on
my news.
