Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Silent Amid Royal Joy!

Queen Elizabeth beamed as she celebrated her Platinum Jubilee recently. But Prince Charles and his wife Camilla seemed even happier than his mother. And for a good reason. After years of uncertainty, the Queen requested that Camilla take on the role of Queen Consort when Prince Charles becomes King.

Calling it her “sincere wish,” Queen Elizabeth made history in her Platinum Jubilee declaration. As a result of that announcement, the Duchess of Cornwall will become completely acknowledged when Charles becomes King. And the two reacted appropriately. For instance, Charles described himself as feeling “touched and honored.” 

And the Queen’s son also congratulated Elizabeth about marking the milestone of ruling for 70 years. As a result of the news about his wife, Charles gushed that he felt “deeply conscious of the honor given to his darling wife.” But a day after all the joy, Harry and Meghan provided no public reactions.

As Prince Harry’s grandmother and father celebrate, the Duke of Sussex resides with his wife Meghan Markle in a $14 million mansion in California. But since stepping back from their royal duties, the two also broke away from social media. And instead, the two have taken on new roles in the United States.

But the Duchess and Duke of Sussex’s silence amid the Queen’s celebration and Camilla announcement contradicts those reports of an “olive branch.” And Harry’s silence seems particularly noticeable in the wake of his brother Prince Williams’ response. For instance, the Duke of Cambridge re-tweeted the announcement. And he and Kate Middleton also honored the Queen on their Instagram.
