Meghan Markle Thinks She’s The Next Oprah Winfrey

Meghan Markle was shooting for the stars after she married Prince Harry and was rumored to be interested in joining politics.

Some reports even claimed the Suits actress had her eye on becoming the first woman president. But, the Duchess of Sussex has reportedly been humbled and will settle for becoming the next Oprah Winfrey.

While the media has been focused on King Charles’ and Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis, Meghan Markle has been rolling out her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.

The brand also appears to be coming with a companion podcast, TV show, and yoga mats.

We’re all still pretty confused about what exactly it is Meghan Markle is selling.  But, the internet has noticed that whatever American Riviera Orchard is, it seems to be following the Oprah Winfrey business plan to a T.

Oprah Winfrey is a talk show legend, and also a very savvy business woman.  During Oprah’s heyday, she rolled out her own magazine, TV network, and other television programs to help her push products for major companies. 

Remember the “Oprah’s Favorite Things” episodes of her talk show?  Imagine the size of those endorsement checks she was receiving for EACH item she had on her show.

Per Newsweek, “The [new TV show] comes just weeks after the Duchess of Sussex soft-launched her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which is set to sell a range of home products.”  The website goes on to reveal that Markle will be pedaling “stationery; tablewear; jams, jellies and nut butters; yoga mats; gardening accessories; pet food, and much more.”

Meghan Markle’s Big Plans

There’s only one problem with Meghan Markle‘s big plans, the reason Oprah’s projects were such a success is because she had fans who wanted her opinion on gardening gloves and anti-wrinkle cream. 

Who is going to run to Target and buy over-priced gardening gloves because Meghan Markle’s name is on them?
