That’s why a lot of people are now praising the Duchess of Sussex for making her and Prince Harry’s tour of South Africa a media success after the royal couple made a series of huge blunders this past summer. Here’s what you need to know.
As many royal fans already know, the British media have not been very kind to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle these last several months. They’ve criticized them for a number of different things, including their $4 million dollar renovation work at their Frogmore Cottage home and the multiple private jet trips they’ve taken to Ibiza and the South of France.

Meghan is probably one royal who knows that the only way you can hit back at your critics is to look and do your best. And that’s exactly what she has been doing in South Africa. According to Page Six, she’s ditched her luxury wardrobe for a number of budget friendly pieces from sustainable-minded designers.
She was also photographed sitting on the floor with fellow moms, hugged impoverished kids and finally gave the public a glimpse of the couple’s adorable 4-month-old son, Archie. And yes, she also decided to keep her $140,000 engagement ring at home.
The site also says that Meghan Markle that has reached out to a celebrity crisis management firm in LA for help in repairing her image. She has also taken advice from her good friend, Keleigh Thomas Morgan.
Meghan Markle Turned To Her Girlfriends In The UK For British Media Advice
“Meghan knew she needed help, [so] she reached out to a very few trusted people, including Keleigh,” said a close Meghan insider. “She has a few girlfriends in the UK who are extremely well-versed in British media.”
So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about her supposed public image crisis. Both she and Prince Harry are in the middle of their 10-day South Africa tour.
