She spoke out during Fortune’s Most Powerful Women summit on something called “humane tech” which sounds more like a scary Stanley Kubrick flick. Meghan nattered on about, “bots and trolls,” and had some deep thoughts about what we need to do about them.

According to HuffPost, Meghan said, “It’s like we live in the future when you’re talking about bots and trolls and all of these things.”

“It seems so fantastical, but that’s actually the current state of affairs and that is shaping how we interact with each other online and off — and that’s the piece that’s important.”

Her husband Just Harry has followed her lead by slamming social media, too. In an article in Fast Company, he said that social media is “unwell.”

He thinks, “The digital landscape is unwell and companies like yours have the chance to reconsider your role in funding and supporting online platforms that have contributed to, stoked, and created the conditions for a crisis of hate, a crisis of health, and a crisis of truth.”

She went on, “It is not just an isolated experience. It transcends into how you interact with anyone around you and certainly your own relationship with yourself.”

The Most Powerful Women Twitter account revealed that Meghan has set high standards for herself, and notes that she bragged during the summit that she ignores flattery and criticism equally. That’s laughable. If you’ve read her biased bio Finding Freedom, you know that she keeps track of every imagined snub, and actually has a name for her detractors: “vipers.”

Meghan didn’t stop there though, she told the viewers of the virtual summit that it’s their job to stop the spread of media and online misinformation.

According to her, we all need to stop, “contributing to or even clicking on misinformation,” and on top of that, “report” anything and everything we believe to be false. What’s that 1-800 snitch line number again?

Should we assume then that most summit participants did as she said and reported her for misinformation? After all, she has at least two lawsuits pending against media outlets—how could she be offended with them if she doesn’t read what they write about her?
