Hallmark Channel news reveals that the feel-good network loves to showcase themes. New movies, as well as some older favorites, are assembled into programming events, sometimes called “slates,” “blocks,” or “line-ups.” Hallmark Movies Now’s upcoming event is “Love Is In The Air.” The first movie in the themed line-up is “When Sparks Fly” starring Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex.
About ‘When Sparks Fly’
Hallmark Channel news reveals that Meghan Markle’s movie is not a premiere, but an older one. It was originally released in 2014, but this is the first time it will be shown on Hallmark Movies Now. In “When Sparks Fly,” Amy Peterson (Markle) is a journalist who falls for an old lover. Making this even more nerve-wracking is the ex is about to be married to Amy’s best friend. Along with Markle, the movie also stars Lochlyn Monro (Riverdale).
Meghan Markle Talks About Movie
Back when the movie was about to make its debut, Markle spoke to TV.Goodness.com about “When Sparks Fly.” She explained that it was a light and easy change from her role on Suits. She added, “It was fun to eat ribs and get barbecue sauce all over my face and run around in jeans all day.”
‘Love Is In The Air’ 2021 Movie Line-Up
Crown Media reveals that Hallmark Movies now has released the programming line-up for “Love is in the Air.” In addition to “When Sparks Fly,” we will also be treated to “All of My Heart: The Wedding,” starring Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliot. “Second Honeymoon” with Roma Downey and Tim Matheson is next, followed by Niall Matter and Becca Tobin’s “Love at First Dance.” After that, the network will air “Picture Perfect Mysteries: Newlywed and Dead.”
More Exciting Announcements
While Hallmark Movies Now’s programming slate is titled “Love is in the Air,” the Hallmark Channel is using the Valentine’s Day theme for its line-up, “Love Ever After.” Hearties will see When Calls the Heart season 8 when it premieres in February 2021. As for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, it just announced its adding “Little House on the Prairie” to the schedule. The channel will also unveil new mystery movies installments. So, the network franchise is keeping very busy and making sure viewers have a wide array of programming options. No matter what you are interested in, there is probably a channel or programming event for you.
What do you think of the themed programming blocks that the network uses? Are you a fan of Markle’s TV shows and movies? Will you be checking out her 2014 romance film when it airs next week?
