Is King Charles Relegating The Sussexes To The Sidelines

Okay, King Charles moves fast, and less than a month since he became the reigning monarch, he’s already implemented changes that shows he’s serious about slimming down the monarchy. The Sussexes have mostly been affected, especially since they were once working royals before they stepped down in 2020.

The Royal Family website has also been updated to reflect the new dynamic, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle landing at the bottom of the page, with Prince Andrew. Their children’s titles have also not been updated, even though those of Prince William’s three children were promptly changed following the death of the Queen.

According to a British author and royal commentator, it’s best Charles moves his second son and daughter-in-law to the sidelines in order to keep them from demanding funds to enrich their lives overseas.

Even aides are said to be advising him to not let Harry and Meghan distract him from the important work at hand.

Speaking on GB News, author and broadcaster Anna May Mangan said: “He’s 73, and he’s taking on, what Diana called the top job. He needs support now and he needs people around him.”

Continuing on about Harry and Meghan, she said that the couple voluntarily chose to step back from their roles as senior royals, and so shouldn’t be entitled to keep the benefits they once had when they served the nation.

“They’ve resigned, Harry and Meghan have resigned, not only have they resigned but they are a pair of whingers.

“They are going to sabotage his attempts, which is going to be hard enough to follow the Queen in her duty [and] her hard work. They need to be moved to one side”.

She explained that there’s “nothing to stop Charles being a great dad” but the people won’t “tolerate the royalty funding for this pair now”.

In response to the gentle way he continues to handle Harry and Meghan’s alleged demands, Ms. Mangan attributed it to his “incredibly patient” and “indulgent” nature.

She also called their claims on Oprah that Charles cut them off financially “cringe-worthy”.

She concluded by advising Charles to “concentrate on the brand” and “disassociate himself from anyone who’s trying to bring him, or his country, down.”
