Suits has become an unanticipated hit, thanks to streaming services like Netflix. And now the original series creator has teamed up with NBC to build on Suits’ unprecedented popularity.
Find out whether the new Suits show will resemble a reboot or spin-off. And keep reading to learn if the original cast (hint Meghan Markle) would return.
Suits – Creator Works With NBC On New Show
Originating on USA, Suits received a second chance to return to the court of public opinion. And both fans of the original and new viewers have hoped for a reboot or spin-off. Well, now that hope may come true.
Because Suits soared such high ratings on Netflix and Peacock, the creator of the legal drama has begun work on a new show. Suits creator Aaron Korsh has teamed up with NBCUniversal. However, producers did not yet label Korsh’s new show a reboot or spin-off.
And the as-yet untitled series will include a completely new cast. However, though it begins with new roles, a crossover could involve some of the original cast. And that means the potential for Meghan Markle to do a cameo.

New Suits – Resembles NCIS
Insiders have compared the upcoming show to CSI or NCIS. And the new Suits series reportedly will occur in a location such as Los Angeles. Envisioned as a workplace drama, the new show would include legal elements.
However, don’t look for the new show to begin tomorrow. It remains in early development, with those involved still negotiating. And even the streaming platform remains unknown, although it would stream on one that NBCUniversal owns.
Suits initially debuted on USA in 2011. And for nine seasons, it traced the path of Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), who battled through the legal world of New York without a license. Meghan Markle starred prior to becoming linked to royalty. And others in the original series included Gabriel Macht and Rick Hoffman.
Meghan Markle – Could Return To Acting For THIS
Amid the Hollywood strikes, Suits soared to the top of Nielsen’s streaming charts for months. And the legal drama even created new streaming records in its second life. As a result, the new Suits series likely will do well as it extends the world of the original legal drama.
And that raises the question. Would Meghan Markle want to sign onto the new show? Markle recently inked a contract with mega-powerful talent agency William Morris Endeavor (WME), noted Marie Claire.
Meghan starred as Rachel Zane in the original Suits show. And if she does decide to return, she could score big. For instance, the Duchess of Sussex reportedly could negotiate for $5 million per movie in an entertainment world comeback.
