Queen Elizabeth And The Royal Family Welcome Meghan And Prince Harry’s Daughter Lili

British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle’s daughter, their second child, was born Friday. Her name is Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor and she becomes Queen Elizabeth’s eleventh great-grandchild. Lili joins her big brother Archie who recently turned two.
Lili is named after her great-grandmother and her late grandmother Diana, The Princess of Wales.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Parents Again
In response to the exciting news, Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released a statement together with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, congratulating the happy couple.
Their message read: “The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news of the birth of a daughter for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
If one were expecting words a little more over the top, maybe a bit more loquacious, that behavior has perhaps been left to Prince Harry who has made it a profitable hobby of bad mouthing his family.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Welcome a Daughter Named Lili
The Queen’s other great-grandchildren include Prince William and Kate’s children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, who are the third, fourth, and fifth in line for the throne, respectively.
Then there are Peter Phillips’ two children, Savannah and Isla, and Zara Phillips’ kids, Mia, Lena, and Lucas and recently Princess Eugenie welcomed a son, August Brooksbank. Harry and his family live in Montecito after ditching the royal family in 2020.

What Happens Next in the Monarchy?
The couple’s statement about their new addition read: “It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world.”
“Lili was born on Friday, June 4 at 11:40 a.m. in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA. She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz. Both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home.”
They went on to say that, “Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.”
Lilibet entered the world at 11:40 a.m and weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz.
