British Royal family news reveals late last month, Netflix revealed a huge subscriber drop — the first drop in over a decade.
Currently, the streaming giant is gearing up to face losing close to a million subscribers by the time June comes around. To cope with the loss, the network has axed several T.V. shows, including Meghan Markle’s animation series named “Pearl”. In addition to cancelling numerous upcoming shows, Netflix has had to fire several of their workers in order to survive this phase.
Archewell’s Family Series “Pearl” Has Been Dropped by America’s Number One Subscription Service Netflix
According to reports, “Pearl” has joined a list of shows that have met an untimely end. The series was created by the 40-year-old former actress as part of her and husband Prince Harry’s deal with Netflix, which they acquired through Archewell Productions.
“Pearl” was meant to become Archewell’s first animated series and was one of two productions Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have come up with so far for Netflix.
“Pearl” was described as a “family series that centers on the adventures of a 12-year-old girl who finds inspiration in a variety of influential women throughout history.“

At the time of the announcement, Meghan shared a statement, which read: “Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges.
“I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history. David Furnish and I have been eager to bring this special series to light, and I am delighted we are able to announce it today.”
The show was dropped whilst it was still in its early stages, though there were reports of Netflix hiring experts to help with the making of the cartoon.
However, the couple still have the Heart of Invictus documentary, which they’re currently working on for Netflix. The documentary will focus on the multi-game competition for wounded veterans. It is yet to have an official release date, though some are expecting it to drop later this year, alongside Harry’s tell-all memoir.

Even the Name of this (phantom) show sounds BORING.
And gives no clue what the show is about.
Precious gemstones?
Mikimoto?
Pearl among the Swine?
Just so bland and unimaginative
