Meghan Markle’s Sister Samantha Grant Hospitalized Before Royal Wedding

It looks like the drama surrounding Meghan Markle’s family is just getting worse by the day. Following reports that Meghan’s father Thomas Markle Senior won’t be walking down his daughter down the aisle or even attending the wedding for that matter, it looks like her half-sister Samantha Grant has just been hospitalized.

According to reports, Meghan’s estranged sister suffered a broken ankle and a fractured knee following a confrontation with the paparazzi. Samantha’s boyfriend Mark told TMZ that a photographer allegedly veered in front of them and forced him to swerve his car and hit a concrete barrier. That’s when Samantha hit the car windscreen and fell into the vehicle’s car mat.

To make matters worse, Samantha suffers from Multiple sclerosis. Her foot was twisted backwards during the accident. Her boyfriend rushed her to a local hospital for treatment.

If that weren’t enough, media outlets are reporting that Thomas backed out of the royal wedding at the very last minute because of heart surgery. Yet, sources say that the former cinematographer is simply embarrassed after he was caught staging a photo op with the paparazzi in Los Angeles. He can be seen getting fitted for a suit and reading a book about Great Britain in a coffee shop in the photos.

So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the controversy surrounding her extended family. It is believed that none of her half siblings or their family members have been invited to the wedding. The one exception of course is Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, who she happens to be very close with.
