British royal family news shows there was a Prince Andrew sighting at Windsor this week, in the midst of his ongoing civil court case in which he is accused of sexual assault. It occurred Thursday, the same day a judge agreed to keep a 2009 settlement agreement between his accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre and their mutual acquaintance, the dead convicted pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein under wraps.
Judge Lewis Kaplan made the ruling in a New York federal court following a defense team request to keep the document sealed. Andrew has denied any wrongdoing and is attempting to dismiss the case altogether. The day of the minor legal victory “Randy Andy” was seen driving through Windsor Great Park. Part of the furor over the case is the revelation that his 95-year old mother Queen Elizabeth is paying for his legal defense.

Virginia Giuffre Roberts filed the suit in August. She claims Andrew assaulted her on three occasions in 2001 when she was 17 and a legal minor. The lawsuit claims, “she was trafficked as a 17-year-old by pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and forced to have sex with the Prince at Ghislaine Maxwell’s house,” according to the Daily Mail.
Prince Andrew’s lawyer describes the case as “baseless.” The prior, “agreement was reached between Giuffre and Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead at age 66 in his cell in 2019 while awaiting a sex trafficking trial at a New York federal jail. His death was ruled a suicide.”

This week his lawyer said the prior agreement, “releases Prince Andrew and others from any purported liability arising from the claims Ms. Giuffre asserted against Prince Andrew here.”
The UK’s Metropolitan Police previously examined the allegations made by Giuffre against Andrew but declined to order an investigation, stating that the case was a matter for the US legal system.

The police also noted no further action would take place in regard to, “allegations that Epstein’s alleged accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, trafficked, groomed and abused women and girls in the UK.”
Maxwell is currently in prison awaiting a trial of her own. It will take place next month in New York and involves sex trafficking charges. She, like Andrew, has pled not guilty.
Prince Andrew tried to clear his name in a BBC interview in 2019. At that time he denied having sexual relations with and stated, “I can absolutely categorically tell you it never happened. I have no recollection of ever meeting this lady, none whatsoever.”
There is a widely circulated picture of Andrew with his arm around Giuffre’s bare waist; Andrew has suggested it may have been Photoshopped.
