Prince Charles Won’t Allow Andrew To Usurp Platinum Jubilee, Risks Queen’s Wrath?

British royal family news shows that certain senior royals are not amused by disgraced Prince Andrew’s usurpation of power at the expense of Prince Philip’s memory.

Last week the duke appeared in a role many thought unbecoming, that of personal escort to Queen Elizabeth at the poignant tribute ceremony. Andrew had every right to honor his father, no one argues that point, but the way in which he hijacked the event had many shaking their heads.

Now it seems that his kin are vowing to stop his headline tour in its tracks.

Royal Family News – Andrew is Not Welcome?

Royal author Robert Hardman told The Daily Beast that Prince Charles, “will fight any attempt by Prince Andrew and Queen Elizabeth II to use the upcoming Jubilee celebrations to normalize Andrew’s attendance at royal events.”

If two heads are better than one, he might want to enlist the help of his own heir, and future king, Prince William. Both men have reportedly been upset at Andrew’s comeback attempt. Hardman is said to have had wide access to, “the queen’s advisers, papers and her circle of friends for a definitive new biography.”

That book is ‘Queen of Our Times,’ a look back at Queen Elizabeth’s 70-year reign. Her seven decades on the throne will be celebrated with a Platinum Jubilee in June and Charles is said to be dead set against Andrew taking a major role.

Hardman said that Her Majesty’s controversial decision to allow Andrew to escort her into Westminster Abbey, “had been accepted by the family given the unique nature of the event.”

But the royal expert claimed that Charles will give major pushback if Andrew is a big part of the royal celebrations for this summer’s Platinum Jubilee.

Royal Family News – The Queen Will Make The Final Decision

Other royal experts agree with Hardman’s assessment. Royal watcher Richard Fitzwilliam told The Mirror, “I don’t expect we will see Prince Andrew appear in the near future – if ever again. He won’t play any kind of role in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, of that I think we can be quite sure. Prince Charles and William will be totally opposed to it, it’s a non-starter.”

We shall see about that, a mother’s love often trumps any other force of nature, including the wrath of warring siblings.
