Is it really as bad as it looks? That’s what a lot of royalists on both sides of the pond can’t help but wonder when it comes to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children.

That’s because both Prince George and Princess Charlotte looked like they wanted to be anywhere but at the Trooping the Colour near Buckingham Palace over the weekend.

This has prompted a lot of people to wonder: is this event even necessary at this point? Or better yet, should the royal kids be left to stay at home? It’s not like they are truly enjoying being paraded around just so the public can see them.

Clearly, royalists on the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.

Some even commented with, “I don’t understand why they continue to subject the kids to this. Let the kids ride to Buckingham Palace or wherever privately. And have the adults travel by carriage. This feels like a humiliation ritual that they put these kids through every June.”

Should The Royal Kids Stay At Home?

Another critic wrote, “It’s got to be kind of weird. When they’re at school and all the other posh kids are talking about how they’ll be going horse riding that weekend, or off to the country estate for a couple of days, and these kids know that they’ll have to dress up and sit in a carriage for hours.”

But then there was this comment as well: “George will be King some day. All three kids will have some obligations to get their salaries and extremely privileged lives. If they do not want that life then can do what Harry did and be disowned and kicked out of the firm.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come.
