Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Accused of Having Selfish Behavior Towards The Monarchy

In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shockingly announced their exit from the Royal Family. Since then, they’ve gone on to attack the institution in as many ways and forms as possible.

As a result of this, many members of the Royal Family are said to have distanced themselves from the couple. Do they care? I think not. Not yet, anyway.

It’s no doubt that Prince Harry could have continued to be a huge asset to the monarchy, especially with his military experience. But that was not to be.

No matter, the Royal Family has carried on well following his exit, but the recent surgery of two of the most senior royals have left space enough for people to see the void Harry has left.

In a recent chat with GB News, Robert Hardman, the author of the new book “Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story,” opined that Harry was not the “team player” the Royal Family wanted.

He said: “Harry writes in his book Spare how no one will return his calls and he can’t get through to anyone, and it’s just all about me, me, me. The whole kind of Royal machine, if you like, is a team effort and I just think it’s very sad because Harry and Meghan [Markle] had such potential.”

Speaking on the Sussexes’ attitude towards the monarchy since their exit, he said, “And now when we do tend to hear from them on a royal matter, it’s just to say how miserable they were being royal.”

Although Hardman believes there’s no way the couple can be allowed to return as senior royals, he did think it’s possible for them to do work for the monarchy in some capacity in the future.

Continuing, the author told hosts Eammon Holmes and Isabel Webster: “I mean, when you look back on that sunny day in May 2018 and that sense of promise, all they were going to be doing for the Commonwealth.

That’s very much what the King had in mind for the future, that there would be this sort of twin track – you’d have William and Catherine, and you’d also have Harry and Meghan.”

However, what’s done is done and several members of the monarchy are reportedly of the mind that there is no way back for Harry and Meghan. I guess we’ll see.
