Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are En Route To Balmoral To Be By The Queen’s Bedside

According to ITV, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are traveling to Balmoral Castle even though they were supposed to be doing a charity event in London this weekend. Rebecca English, a royal reporter for the Daily Mail, even wrote on Twitter, “To summarize, all of the Queen’s children – Charles, Anne, Edward, Andrew – are either at the Queen’s bedside or traveling to be with her. Her grandson, Prince William, is also in Scotland. This is as grave as it gets, I am so sorry to say.”

As of press time, the details of the queen’s medical condition are not known, though the palace has said in the past that she has problems with mobility. She recovered from a bout with Covid-19 in February, but said later that it had left her exhausted.

Earlier in the week, the newly appointed UK PM Liz Truss had herself traveled to Balmoral to be appointed by the Queen, in a break with tradition as the monarch would have normally seen her in London. But the Queen had suffered from mobility issues recently and so the meeting was moved to Balmoral.

The UK Is On High Alert

First minister of Scotland and leader of the Scottish National Party Nicola Sturgeon said everyone was “feeling profoundly concerned” about reports of the queen’s health. What’s more, the first minster for Wales, Mark Drakeford, also offered his concern and sent his “best wishes” to the monarch.

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any additional comments about the matter.
