As most know, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have gotten uber political of late. Indeed, ever since Megxit, Meghan Markle especially has ramped up her political activism to the point that English bookies began placing odds as to whether the duchess would eventually run for the US Presidency! As for Prince Harry, the duke has followed obediently in his wife’s footsteps to the point that (right or wrong) some are questioning his status within their marriage.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s political statements and behavior have caused a great number of journalists, TV personalities, and politicians on both sides of the pond to lash out at them. Because it is accepted tradition for senior members of the British Royal Family to remain strictly non-partisan, at least in public, in any given political campaign it’s been considered the height of bad taste for Meghan and Prince Harry to act as they have in recent times.

The subject has become so divisive that well-known figures, especially in the UK, have begun calling for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to lose all the royal titles they have left.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Didn’t Keep Their Word

One of the greatest sources of anger directed at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has to do with the fact that many believe they broke their promise to Queen Elizabeth. Trampling all over British tradition is one thing, but if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex actually promised Queen Elizabeth that they wouldn’t do that … and then did … then their disrespect really is cringe-worthy.

Indeed, according to Royal aides who spoke to The Times of London, Harry and Meghan Markle, “made clear that everything they do will continue to uphold the values of Her Majesty.” However, it’s been interpreted that Harry and Meghan’s recent speeches, which have given just about everyone the impression that the Sussexes have endorsed the American presidential campaign of Joe Biden, broke that promise.

Those aides went on to declare that since Meghan and Harry’s video clip for Time Magazine that was aired on the ABC network came out, “The [royal] family are all wringing their hands, thinking: where is this going and does this abide by the deal to uphold the values of the Queen? The feeling is it’s a violation of the agreement.”

Meghan And Harry Could Lose Out Big Time In The End

While there is no way that Buckingham Palace could take away the financial success Meghan and Harry have achieved (through no merit of their own) from their recent Netflix deal, it’s now suggested that the couple could not only lose their remaining titles, but Harry may be able to go back to his former (honorary) military roles either.

The bottom line is that Harry and Meghan Markle’s activism might cause The Firm to distance itself from the couple in such a way that it will be impossible for the duke and duchess to bridge the gap.

Some are horrified and saddened by such a proposition while others feel that Prince Harry has made his bed and it’s time the Queen made him sleep in it.
