Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Have Months To Save Their Netflix Deal Before It Expires

Prince Harry and Meghan’s time to make a grand Hollywood comeback is ticking away from them, in light of the Golden Globes ceremony where they were both mocked for getting paid to do nothing by Netflix. And now, it seems that they could lose Netflix as well.

If they do so, a royal expert opines they’ll become losers in every sense of the word, along with losing half of their £78 million deal with Netflix. Here’s the lowdown.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix Deal Referred To As A “Ticking Timebomb”

Almost immediately after arriving in Hollywood, Harry and Meghan Markle signed multi-year deals with Spotify and Netflix. Last year, they lost their deal with Spotify, and if they’re not careful, Netflix could follow suit.

Right now, there hasn’t been any confirmed projects that the couple are producing for Netflix, casting doubts on whether Netflix would want to renew the contract.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams weighed in on this during a chat with The Sun: “You know that your influence is failing is when people start laughing at you, and you can’t produce something that you’ve actually done.

The facts of the matter are that he pointed out pretty categorically that they have done absolutely nothing for Netflix, really, and the one exception, of course, being Invictus, and that was very worth it but too long of a wait.”

He added: “If you simply trash your family, which is the only time it does seem to mean that you get megabucks, and do nothing else, then you must expect people not to take you seriously.”

Richard Fitzwilliams Says the General Public View Harry and Meghan As Losers

If Harry and Meghan don’t act fast to produce quality content for Netflix, their last remaining deal could fall through. When it does, it’ll only be confirming the reasoning behind The Hollywood Reporter naming them 2023’s biggest losers.

“When the Hollywood reporter recently called the Sussexes losers, I think it was speaking through what most people who are interested in them appear now to believe – that if they haven’t done anything they’re losers.”

Fitzwilliams then went on to point out how different Harry and Meghan’s current standing is from their earlier days, when they were making the Time’s 100 List of world’s top individuals. Talk about a fall from grace.
