Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Released Netflix Trailer To Overshadow Earthshot Prize Awards?

Did Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have ulterior motives?  Even though nothing overshadowed the Earthshot Prize awards, some people definitely tried to and people are not impressed. Why would anybody, or two, want to draw attention away from the most prestigious environmental awards in the world, especially when said “two” are self-professed environmentalists.

But more than that, it’s the betrayal to family that’s got Kinsey Schofield ticking.

According to royal commentators, Prince Harry and Meghan’s “Kardashian-style” docuseries trailer couldn’t have been timed more inappropriately.

Even though it may not solely be Harry and Meghan’s plans to drop the teaser when Prince William and Princess Catherine are far away from their family, royal commentators reckon they could have tried to get around it.

In the trailer, we hear Harry say, “I had to do everything I could to protect my family,” a view which podcast host and royal expert Kinsey Schofield apparently takes issue with.

“Harry says he’s just protecting his family yet stirs the pot while the Prince and Princess of Wales are thousands of miles away from their children. Irresponsible,” Schofield tweeted.

“I’m sure all Catherine wants to do is hug her babies… instead she’s dodging grenades from her brother-in-law.”

Royal Expert Says Harry And Meghan Wanted To “Hijack” Attention From the Earthshot Awards

Another problem with the timing of the “Harry and Meghan” trailer drop is the fact that another big royal event was happening at the time: Catherine and William’s first visit to the US in 8 years! And not just a royal visit, but one to champion a very important cause.

“To drop it as they have on the first or second day of the Prince and Princess of Wales’s trip to the U.S. for the Earthshot Prize shows just exactly how much they wanted to hijack that publicity,” royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti told Us Weekly.

“It just shows how much they will go to any end at all for as much publicity as possible. They will jump on his own brother’s trip to promote these environmental prizes in order to steal that limelight and get more attention.”
