Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Will Appear In A Broadcast Of Time’s 100 Most Influential People list

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Each year Time magazine releases a list of the 100 most influential individuals, in their eyes, and this year Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will feature in its televised event according to E! News.

The announcement about Time’s 100 Most Influential People list was made on Wednesday and the program will air on Tuesday, September 22.

Joining Harry and Meghan in making personal appearances on the televised show will be Kumail Nanjiani, Trevor Noah, Sandra Oh, and John Legend.

TIME’s 2020 version of its annual ranking of the 100 Most Influential People will be broadcast for the first time this year.

A promotional video reveals other individuals such as tennis stars Serena Williams and Roger Federer and promises performances by Halsey, Jennifer Hudson, and The Weeknd.

The event for 2019 included honorees Taylor Swift and Nancy Pelosi who were recognized at the gathering which was held at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City; this year the coronavirus pandemic has interrupted plans for an in-person event.

Instead, the 2020 broadcast will usher in a “brand-new experience,” according to Time studios president Ian Orefice.

“In a year in which we are unfortunately unable to convene the TIME100 community together in person,” he said, “we are excited to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of the members of this year’s list with a brand-new experience on ABC that will allow more people to participate than ever before.”

Time executive editor Dan Macsai added that the production will, “recognize the extraordinariness of this year.”

Additionally, ABC vowed that the show will offer, “an entertainment-filled inside look at the leaders, creators and everyday heroes comprising the 2020 list ahead of its Time print debut.”

For the first time ever, the Time 100 special will be broadcast on ABC, and at that time the names of the 100 most influential people in the world, according to the magazine, will be presented.

Meghan and Harry have had a busy year. In 2020 they left the UK for America, and have signed themselves to a multiyear, mega million-dollar production deal with Netflix.

Prior to this, they arrived in Canada before relocating to their current California home, which also houses Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland.
