Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Deal With Netflix Won’t Be As Lucrative As Hoped?

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Deal With Netflix Won't Be As Lucrative As Hoped, Royal Expert ClaimsPrince Harry and Meghan Markle’s future with Netflix could possibly not turn out to be as successful and financially stabilizing as first hoped, what with Netflix cutting some of their proposed shows and changing others.

In 2020, at the height of their Megxit fame, the controversial couple nabbed a multi-million dollar deal with the giant streaming platform. In 2021, it was announced that Harry is working on a docuseries that will focus on the Invictus Games and Meghan will help produce a cartoon series, “Pearl”, that will inspire families of different backgrounds.

Earlier this year, Netflix axed Meghan’s show “Pearl” and Harry’s Invictus documentary has reportedly evolved to become more than just an Invictus Games documentary.

The Sussexes’ Future With Netflix Is Uncertain

The royal writer for Australian website news.com.au, Daniela Elser, is doubtful that something meaningful and productive can come of the Sussex couple’s mouthwatering deal with Netflix.

With Netflix losing over $200 billion from its value this year ago, it seems that Harry and Meghan will have to sweat to deliver contents that’s worth their investment.

Writing for the Australian website, royal expert Daniela Elser said that the couple’s “supposedly cashed-up future” is finally coming “unstuck”.

Ms. Elser wrote: “When the current history of Hollywood gets written, April 19, 2022 will go down as the day that everything changed.

“It should have been a routine earnings call during which Netflix co-CEO Reed Hastings took tech and business reporters through the company’s latest figures.”

Apart from the handsome deal with Netflix, rumored to be over $100 million, the couple also signed with Spotify to produce audio content through their company Archewell Productions. Like Netflix, not much has been presented to honor their contract with Spotify.
