Meghan Markle Treats Staff Poorly, Former Staff Members Claim
A lot of stories of Meghan Markle’s deplorable behavior towards her US staff have been floating since The Hollywood Reporter did an in depth exposé on the former actress in late 2024.
Coupled with the fact that the couple can’t seem to retain staff members, many are beginning to question whether working with the Sussexes is worth the money.
Touching on this particular topic one more time, Tom Sykes, who has covered the Royal Family for decades, appeared on The Royalist podcast to address a particular behavior Meghan displayed on-camera during her four-day trip to Australia, and how it affected her former staff members.
“Another former employee told me, ‘It gives me PTSD,’” Sykes, a royal reporter, recalled. “This is what they said after watching the clip: ‘It’s classic Meghan… smiling to the public on one side of her face and glowering at you on the secret side where she thinks she is unobserved.’”

He added: “The woman treats anyone she has power over as totally disposable. You are just treated like a tradesman who is there to fix the toilet.”
Previously, it was reported that a staff member branded Meghan a “demon” boss who is prone to “psycho moments.” In the clip, Meghan appears to be snapping at a staff, and in another, her face changes completely when a staff steps in to direct Harry’s attention to something.
However, a Sussex spokesperson quickly refuted the rumors, saying that the slowed-down clip was “designed to be manipulative and perpetuate a false narrative.”
A former staff member previously blasted, “She [Meghan] belittles people, she doesn’t take advice. They’re both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently. Harry is a very, very charming person — no airs at all — but he’s very much an enabler. And she’s just terrible.”
