Prince Harry Cuts The Cord To Last Tie Of His Former Royal Life

It only took them six months, but the man formerly known as Prince and his wife Meghan Markle have finally shuttered their Sussex Royal brand which the queen told them was a no-go after they turned their backs on her and the country who supported him through his darkest times.

The bombshell move in which Harry rejected his family and country is known as Megxit, a plan to leave the UK and his family behind for a better life. It was a slap in the face to the monarchy that gave them millions of dollars to squander away as they saw fit, and pushback to the country in which he was born and in which countless others in his position have gladly served its constituents.

Not tradition, not millions, not reportedly pleas from his family could sway him from snubbing his nose at all he had known, and indeed all that he had been freely given, in order to jet off in a plume of sooty private jet exhaust for LaLa Land.

Megxit Was A Jaw-Dropping Rejection Of Everything In Life That Harry Had Ever Known

Megxit will go down in history as a crucial point in the monarchy, the time that a fickle prince renounced his birthright for the sunny shores and presumably greener grass of Hollywood.

Did he get his happily ever after? It’s too soon to tell. But little by little he keeps chipping away at his once royal veneer, the latest being the closure of Sussex Royal. And yet why did it take him so long to cut the cord to his usage of the word “royal?”

From the beginning of his tantrum about not being protected enough in the UK and wanting to seek financial independence, the queen made it clear that Harry could not be a royal and at the same time set his own agenda. William, too, is reported to have told his brother to man up and make a choice: be a royal and all that comes with it, or close the door behind you.

The door is now shut but is Harry having a buyer’s regret about his grandstanding?

What Took Harry So Long To Cut The Last Remaining Apron Strings To His FormerLlife?

Specifically, Queen Elizabeth told Meghan they could not use the word “royal” in their branding. It is half a year later, and the pair have finally submitted the documents needed to dissolve the charity known as Royal Sussex and everything linked to it.

What took so long? Surely they have enough leisure time—neither is employed. They have made time for photo ops that show them bringing food to COVID-19 shut-ins, and mingling with the formerly incarcerated and gang-affiliated in an attempt to help those less fortunate them themselves.

Does the formal closure of Sussex Royal symbolize the pair’s determination to make their new life and lifestyle work?

They reportedly have one year to think about what they’ve done before they can change their minds and return to their royal UK life.

The year is half over and the clock is ticking. I guess we’ll have to wait to see what the New Year brings.

Just hope for Heghan’s happiness, they deserve it. But at the same time can they live their private lives and leave the rest of us out of it?

Weep in frustration of the mess they left behind. And gnash my teeth for the hurt their decisions have caused to the ones who love Harry.

What twaddle this hit piece is. Harry put his wife and child first. That is the most honorable thing a husband and father could do.
