Prince Harry Longs To Return To Royal Family Fold

Royal family insiders describe Prince Harry as longing to restore his relationships with the royal family. As a result, the Duke of Sussex has contacted his father Prince Charles. And the 37-year-old husband of Meghan Markle reportedly has set a very special family goal for his UK return, per the Daily Mail.

Prince Harry wants to connect with Charles over video conferences, say the sources. Currently residing in a $14 million California mansion, Prince Harry reportedly plans to return to the UK for two reasons. First, the Duke of Sussex allegedly wants to attend the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial service in the spring. And second, Harry reportedly desires to travel with Meghan, 40, and their children to the Queen’s Jubilee in the summer.  As a result, Harry has progressed in talking with his father, said one insider. 

“There has been a definite thaw in relations between Harry and Charles. They are on much better terms and have been having friendly chats and video calls. It has been suggested to Harry he may live to regret any lingering family bitterness, and he has taken that on board. There is a feeling he is coming back more into the fold and wants to be closer to his family,” revealed the source. 

Can Prince Harry Handle Security Lack To Return To UK?

But the Duke of Sussex may face challenges in visiting the UK either alone or with his wife and kids. Prince Harry recently shared his refusal to visit the country without security protection. And the Duke’s demands for a significant level of security from the Met Police could jeopardize his return.

In addition, Prince Harry faced a backlash when he threatened legal action against Queen Elizabeth’s government. And at this point, no one knows the outcome of those threats. The Duke of Sussex currently wants a judicial review. That review, if it takes place, would investigate the removal of his UK police protection team.

Could Prince Charles intervene by agreeing with his son about the risks of visiting the UK without Scotland Yard bodyguards?
