Prince Harry Just Did This To Further Erase His Royal Ties

Prince Harry Slowly but surely Prince Harry is erasing all vestiges of his former life. For instance, we’ve all seen the pictures of him in L.A., pounding the pavement as he delivers food to coronavirus shut-ins and rubbing elbows with ex-cons and gang bangers while performing charitable deeds.

At the same time he builds up his street cred Homeboy Harry continues to shed his credentials as a member of the royal family. The latest revolution is his title change on the Travalyst website, the site for his environmental tourism initiative.

Prince Harry Is Moving On From Royal Life In A Slow But Steady Manner

This week his website Travalyst deleted all occurrences of him as “His Royal Highness.” Gone are the old references to, “led by HRH The Duke of Sussex,” and in their place are the words, “led by The Duke of Sussex.” Personally, we think Homeboy or Homie better reflects his current position in life.

This title change is necessary as part of the agreement that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made with the royal family after the pair made the startling and unprecedented announcement that they were rejecting his family and country for a shiny new life in the U.S., specifically Meghan’s hometown of L.A.

Megxit Refers To The Duke And Duchess Of Sussex Stepping Down As Senior Royals

The designation His or Her Royal Highness, aka HRH, is a significant honorary title in the royal family. Harry and Meghan agreed to no longer use it, and some think this was a blow to their aspirations to sell themselves as royalty while at the same time not having to perform any royal duties.

So far it hasn’t stopped them from signing on the dotted line with a speaker’s agency, although the fancy HRH prefix would have been the cherry on the top of their common names.

Meghan And The Firm Met In January To Iron Out Details Of Megxit

The royals met in January in a bid to figure out how to carry on in light of Megxit. At that time Buckingham Palace issued this statement: “The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family.”

The couple is now known officially as Harry, the Duke of Sussex, and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. The titles were bestowed upon them by his grandmother Queen Elizabeth on their wedding day in 2018.
