Prince Harry Makes Rude Queen Elizabeth Joke In Texas

British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were in the great state of Texas this weekend when they stopped for some famous southwest barbeque at a place called La Barbecue.

The power couple were in Texas because Meghan made an appearance at the South by Southwest (SXSW) conference. Here’s what to know.

Royal Family News – Meghan Does BBQ

Friday was International Women’s Day and Meghan talked about herself at the conference. Later the former royals went to dine at La Barbecue “after Meghan informed the Director of Operations, Cory Rivademar, that she wanted to stop by.”

According to Express, the employees at the BBQ joint were left laughing at a joke made by Prince Harry.

According to the outlet, at the restaurant there is a mural of rock star Freddie Mercury dressed up as Queen Elizabeth, and it is next to a “gender neutral toilet.” Harry took one look at the piece and allegedly said “We should take a picture in front of this.”

The diner owner, Allison Clem, reportedly told him “I think you are in enough trouble as it is.” What a joke. Elsewhere, People Magazine reported that the diner staff spilled that the couple ordered brisket and sausages and were “absolutely lovely.”

During their stay, the couple also posed for pictures with customers and Rivademar stated that after the Harry and Meghan left, “they received a text from Meghan’s representatives saying it was the best BBQ they had ever had.”

Royal Family News – Meghan Praises Texas BBQ

Prior to their night on the town, Meghan sat alongside joined Brooke Shields and Katie Couric for a panel discussion at the SXSW Festival in Texas.

The event is held each year in Austin and the panel was convened in honor of International Women’s Day. Meghan was billed as a “visionary female leader” and bestselling author.

There is no word as to whether or not Couric mentioned that time she interviewed Harry and later complained that he reeked of booze and cigarettes. Awkward.
