Archewell Productions just had a shakeup because the news arrived that Chanel Pysnik, who served as the Head of Nonfiction, Film & TV for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has left the company.
An Important Role
As she worked with Archewell from the early days, Pysnik was an important person in the programming for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
If you’ve ever watched shows like With Love, Meghan or Harry & Meghan on Netflix, then you might not have known that Chanel Pysnik was behind the scenes as an executive producer. The same goes for the more recent documentary Cookie Queens.

The Express UK reported that: “In a statement, the Sussexes said: ‘Chanel was one of our very first hires at Archewell Productions and spearheaded the strategic framework for our unscripted endeavors.”
Deadline reported that “no immediate replacement has been named for Pysnik,” and she seemed to suggest no bad blood between her and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, saying, “I am grateful to Harry and Meghan for their trust and the opportunity to lead Archewell Productions through such a defining period.”
On the surface of it, there doesn’t seem to be any animosity from either side. The thing is, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attract a lot of attention, and some influencers tend to put a negative spin on developments involving them.

When Royal News Network covered the news on YouTube, they echoed the Express, which said, “The news is seen as a blow to Meghan and Harry.”

The host, Britney, opined: “I’m like, ‘Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.’ Harry and Meghan, I think, are officially dunzo in Hollywood. And I don’t think this was necessarily their choice. And I don’t think this was necessarily the way they wanted things to play out, but I think it’s abundantly appallingly clear that that is what is going on right now.”
And then she declared: “Harry and Meghan officially have no future in Hollywood.”
Of course, it isn’t known how the loss of Chanel Pysnik might impact any plans for future shows, but time will tell how much of a problem, if any, the departure might mean.
