Meghan Markle, Prince Harry To Become ‘6-Month Part-Time Royals’?!
Royal family members don’t usually view their duties in the same way as a typical employee. As a result of how they get raised, members of The Firm, as the royals are known, view their responsibilities as a 24/7 lifestyle and passion. But then Prince Harry met Meghan Markle. As a result of her push, Harry dumped his royal family duties and escaped with her to California in the plan known as Megxit.
In the wake of Megxit, though, the Duchess and Duke of Sussex reportedly have not felt quick as happy as they assumed. And so they sat in their mansion and figured out a new scheme. But if it succeeds, will they eventually find themselves longing for escape again?
As a result of their desire to improve their publicity, Harry and Meghan concocted the “6-Month Part-Time Royals” scheme, reported the Express. And in some ways, the plan seems like a mixture of Megxit with a dash of publicity. Will it succeed? Prince Harry and his wife also recognize that timing could play a key role in whether they succeed.
Royal family expert Tom Quinn revealed the specific details of Meghan’s new complicated new scheme. For instance, Quinn shared that she and her husband think that they should wait for Prince Charles to take the throne. As a result of his more lenient approach, Markle and Harry hope to succeed with their part-time royals role.
Prince Charles To Help Son Prince Harry Achieve Part-Time Royal Goal?
When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry first announced their plans to dump their royal family duties, Queen Elizabeth met with others in the Palace. And the Queen made her views clear. For instance, she refused to allow Harry and Meghan to consider doing some of their duties whenever they so desired.
As a result, the Duke of Sussex and Duchess of Sussex now want to work with Prince Charles to make their new part-time scheme work, according to Tom Quinn. “Both Meghan and Harry believe that when the elder royals die – in other words, Elizabeth – they may well be able” to achieve their goals, he shared. As a result of how the Queen feels, the Sussex duo plan to wait to enact their scheme.
And then, when Charles becomes King, Harry and Meghan will seek his approval, explained Quinn. As a result of their scheme, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex then would work as part-time royals. “So that they would be six months [as] working royals and six months in the States or wherever doing their own thing,“ added the royal family expert.
But Quinn also pointed out that the two may delay fulfilling their goals. Working part-time “was something that Queen Elizabeth absolutely said couldn’t happen,” he noted. “But I think Meghan and Harry are hoping that Charles, Harry’s father after all, will be more of a modernizer and will say to them, ‘okay, if you want to be part-time royals, that’s fine.'”
