Royal commentator Neil Sean slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle this week, and he based his take on it from the position of having decades of insider industry experience.
A Calculated Marriage
On Thursday in the Daily News Headlines on his YouTube channel, Sean portrayed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s marriage as driven by calculation and control rather than genuine affection.
According to Sean, Harry is “a good boy” who easily follows directions, noting that he was actively searching for “a mother figure.”

He claimed Prince William saw through this dynamic early on and had “zero time for Meghan Markle” because he noticed “the manipulation going on from the [beginning].”
Engelson’s Career Was Too Slow?
Sean alleged that Meghan Markle was never truly interested in Harry as a person, but rather wanted “a powerful husband.”
Then he alleged that her first marriage to Trevor Engelson stalled because he was “not rising quick enough,” so she targeted “a British boyfriend.”
It Was Always About Meghan?
Pointing to the 2019 Disney premiere, Sean claimed Harry acted like “an agent, a manager, a publicist” to try and get work for his wife. He described Meghan Markle as listening intently to Prince Harry as he did his duty, as if he were her employee.
Turning to a recent event reported by People with musician David Foster, Sean stated Markle was “fizzing” over a perceived snub, forcing Harry to “come to the rescue.”
He also claimed that the reason Foster got a statement released in People was because Prince Harry pushed for it.
Claim To Fame
Dismissing other commentators, Sean asserted, “I’m the one literally who’s worked inside this industry” and knows “exactly what is going on behind the scenes.”
He accused Meghan of trying to control red carpets by grinning “inanely” for photos, while noting her solo projects are failing because the public “weren’t particularly interested.”
Sean concluded that Prince Harry only remains useful to Meghan when she needs him to salvage “the reputation failing of his wife.”
Followers React
In the comments section, very few royal family followers disagreed with Sean’s point of view.
One supporter wrote, “That was a snub of epic proportions, but once again, they’re telling us our eyes didn’t see what they saw. Right. The more Meghan fights this, the more we know it was absolutely a snub.”
Then another person wrote, “Everyone knows if it’s People Magazine, it’s Meghan and Harry speaking.”
Here’s another response: “I just knew it! Harry calls Foster to ask him to issue a statement, which really furthers the embarrassment of it all. Pitiful.”
