Prince Harry Reveals What Almost Ruined His Wedding To Meghan Markle

It might have looked like a fairytale wedding but according to Prince Harry, his royal nuptials to Meghan Markle was almost a disaster! As a matter of fact, Harry reveals that there is one wedding arrangement that didn’t go quite as planned: the flowers.

According to Vanity Fair, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle planted flower bulbs at their home in Kensington Palace. The royal couple were hoping to use the flowers for their wedding but unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans for them.

Meghan can be heard saying in a new exhibit called A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, “We have a very small garden here that we had been planting things in the fall for and what was really special, I think, was that the morning of the wedding Harry went in and he picked some flowers to go into my bouquet, which was really beautiful and something that makes it sentimental and really meaningful.”

Because of Mother Nature’s weather plans, the royal couple didn’t have as many flowers at their wedding as they hoped! “We didn’t have as many flowers in our little garden as we had hoped for because I think it snowed at Easter!” Harry said, adding, “That kind of ruined the whole thing!”

The exhibit, which kicked off this week at Windsor Castle, also features Meghan’s wedding dress, the tiara she wore on loan from the queen, and an older version of Prince Harry’s frockcoat uniform of the Household Calvary.
