Prince Harry Shocks His Army Instructor With Lies In ‘Complete Fantasy’ Memoir!

Prince Harry penned a dramatic description of his so-called suicide training flight in his tell-all memoir. And as part of the book, the Duke of Sussex alleged that an instructor in the Army stalled their propeller plane deliberately without giving any warning. However, the man in charge, ex-Sergeant Major Michael Booley, questions Harry’s account for several reasons.

Find out why the Duke of Sussex just might sound like a fibber to Harry’s former army instructor. And learn what shocked the Sergeant Major. Get all the details below.

Prince Harry – Lied In Memoir, Says Former Army Instructor

In penning his memoir Spare, did Prince Harry write fact, fiction, or fantasy? When it comes to the Duke of Sussex’s time in the army, his former instructor claims that Harry tended to fantasize about what really happened. And the accusations specifically relate to flight training, according to Geo.

The former Sergeant Major shared that trainees like Prince Harry learn about every issue involved in training flights. But what the Duke of Sussex wrote in his memoir contradicts his instructor. And former Sergeant Major Michael Booley feels Harry wrote a fantasy rather than non-fiction about his flight training.

Prince Harry Shocks His Army Instructor With Lies In 'Complete Fantasy' Memoir!

During an interview with the Mirror, Booley shared his shock about the contradictions between training flight reality and Harry’s memoir. And the ex-Sergeant Major summed up Harry’s memoir paragraphs about his army training flights as “complete fantasy.” As a result, he felt “in shock” to discover what the Duke of Sussex wrote.

Prince Harry’s Lies ”Staggered’ Sergeant Major

Because instructors discuss every part of training flights before a plane leaves the ground, Booley felt baffled to read Harry’s account of what happens. And Michael noted that Harry’s dramatic “suicide” training flight passages sound more like a fantasy than fact to him. For instance, the Duke of Sussex wrote that an instructor in the Army didn’t warn the prince before deliberately stalling their Slingsby T67 Firefly propeller plane.

However, ex-Sergeant Major Michael Booley feels certain that the instructor did discuss that detail. As a result, he felt “staggered by this. In shock even.” In his memoir, Harry wrote about Booley himself.

And the Duke of Sussex claimed, “On one of our first flights together, with no warning, Booley threw the aircraft I felt the left wing dip, a sickening feeling of disorder, of entropy, and then, after several seconds that felt like decades, he recovered the aircraft and levelled the wings. I stared at him. What in the absolute—? Was this an aborted suicide attempt?’ No, he said gently. This was the next stage in my training.”

Duke Of Sussex Pens ‘Inaccurate’ Memoir

But Michael calls that detail inaccurate. And he added, “Whilst the book compliments me, the recollection of the sorties and lessons is inaccurate, I’m afraid. It’s important to highlight that nothing in the cockpit comes as a surprise. Every sortie is thoroughly briefed beforehand, every single aspect. The sortie is flown exactly as per that brief. The only time there are surprises is later in the syllabus, not as stated in the book, when emergencies are introduced.”

But Harry’s former flight instructor blamed the ghost writer for the dramatization. And he shared, “I think the reference to the flying sorties has been dramatized.” As a result of “the ghost writing,” Michael noted other details that seemed misleading. For instance, Michael “never called him Lt Wales, he was an officer. And I called him Sir.”
