Prince Harry Won’t Be Happy At How He’s Been Completely “Sidelined” As A Royal

In 2020, Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle announced that they will be officially stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family. Shortly after, it was announced that, even though they’d sought a half-in half-out approach to royal life, they’ll be losing their patronages, their “HRH” titles and they can’t choose to return whenever they feel like it.

Although agreeing to the terms at the time, close sources say that there’s a few things that Harry and Meghan aren’t happy about regarding their exit deal.

For example, Prince Harry really wanted to keep his honorary military titles and the badges on his uniform.

Prince Harry Will Reportedly Be “Miserable” After He Was Demoted From His Role As A Counselor Of State

According to a royal commentator, Prince Harry will not be happy that his last remaining link to royal life, apart from his titles, has been kind of severed with Charles’ proposal to add two more names to the Counselor Of State list. This will prevent any circumstance that will see Andrew and Harry ever needing to step in.

The process was initiated by King Charles on Monday, with a formal request by the King being read to the House of Lords.

As of now, the only people with the ability to fill in for the monarch when he’s sick or abroad are the Queen Consort and four other people.

Two Of Those people – Prince Harry And Prince Andrew – Are No Longer Working Members Of The Royal Family.

According to Daniela Elser, the move would leave a mark on Harry as he’s been “sidelined from his final royal gig”.

In her piece for the Australia news outlet news.com.au, Elser said that the alterations to the Regency Act must make for a “miserable week” for Prince Harry.

In addition to this, King Charles has also taken over Harry’s role as Captain General of the Royal Marines – a role which was bestowed on Harry by the late Queen when he married Meghan.
