There are new reports that indicate Prince Philip has been admitted to a local hospital in London for a pre-existing condition. And while there are many royal fans from all over the world wondering what might be going on, sources from Buckingham Palace want to assure everyone that all is fine. Prince Philip Admitted To Local Hospital For Pre-Existing Condition

While the palace is offering very few details, they want to assure everyone that there is no need for any alarms, despite the fact that Prince Philip is now 98-years-old. The palace released a statement saying that Prince Philip went to the hospital to get treatment on an unknown pre-existing condition before the holidays. In fact, Her Majesty is not even at the hospital with him, as she is now at her Sandringham Estate in preparation for the Christmas holiday next week. She was photographed stepping off the royal train at King’s Lynn railway station.

“The Duke of Edinburgh traveled from Norfolk this morning to the King Edward VII Hospital in London for observation and treatment in relation to a pre-existing condition. The admission is a precautionary measure, on the advice of His Royal Highness’ Doctor,” the statement said.

Queen Elizabeth Royal News: Preparing For Christmas At Sandringham Estate

Even though Queen Elizabeth is still going strong with her royal commitments, engagements and public appearances, Prince Philip retired from public life back in 2017. He is rarely seen in public and instead, reportedly spends his time at his farm on the grounds of Sandringham Estate. And while he doesn’t carry out any more of his royal duties, he is still a president or member of about 780 organizations throughout the United Kingdom. He is also the longest-serving British consort on record.
